The section leader will provide details of the uniform for their Colony/Pack/Troop.

Where can I buy uniform?

Cub uniform is available at the following:

Fareham Scout Shop

The Scout & Guide online shop

Scout Association shop

Will I need other kit?

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all need walking boots, warm/waterproof coat and waterproof trousers.

For overnight residential experiences, kit lists will come out but your young person will typically need a foam roll mat and sleeping bag.

I would like my young person to take part in Scouting activities but we find this difficult financially, is there any help available?

We have a hardship fund to which a confidential case can be made.  The outcome will be decided by the Group Scout Leader taking appropriate advice.   There are sometimes other funds available nationally which can be accessed.

What does Scouting cost?

There is a termly subscription charge for every Beaver, Cub and Scout which covers membership of the Scout Association, insurance, funds for the Beaver/Cub/Scout section to use for activities, and a contribution towards the expenses of 1st Warsash overall e.g. costs of headquarters

Residential experiences have a separate charge calculated by the section to cover the costs.

Occasionally there may be an additional charge for an activity in a meeting but this is unusual.
